Once we’ve defined our audience we’ll be able to take a look at what they’re into and we’ll have hard proof of how they engage. Let’s create our content accordingly. Then, let’s pair great content with an influencer and native ad strategy that will get our community talking, on owned channels and beyond.



SEARCH

Knowing our audience means we can own the search terms they use most frequently. But we’ll go beyond the obvious. We’ll dig deep to discover lower cost, yet equally effective alternatives. And, let’s not forget organic. Precise copy on a well constructed site will be backed by a fun, engaging and keyword rich blog strategy.



VIDEO

Of course, we won’t just tell ’em. We’ll show ’em. Video is the most effective form of content and it’s a blast to create. Despite what the big production companies will tell you, it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Let’s produce broadcast quality video on a bootstrap budget. We’ll accomplish a lot with a little and we’ll see zero diminished returns on engagement.



EXPERIENTIAL

From there, let’s craft a hands on, visceral experience. The physical manifestation of our brand, pulled from the digital realm and expressed in raw form by way of live events, partner-brand collaborations, community meetups and killer swag. Because a physical connection is the most direct path to an emotional connection.



SOCIAL

Social media will be fundamental to our program, but now that eyes have become trained to sniff out and ignore commercial content, it’s no longer easy to fake. In the current, oversaturated landscape, a proper strategy demands a nuanced and individualized approach. We’re going to surprise them. We’ll get them talking, get them feeling, get them sharing and, ultimately, have them tuning in to see what’s next.


WHAT DRIVES ME

My name is Scott Shaw. I am a proud husband and father of two, living and working in Northern California. My family is my True North. A guiding light in all that I do. They inspire me to walk the line. To be a good man and to create work I can be proud of for clients that are changing the world for the better.

I founded a creative agency called Treadlight over a decade ago. Ten years of cheers and tears. Of hard fought battles and lessons learned. I’ve led teams of creatives in crowded rooms and spent weeks toiling alone in the dark. I’ve seen work that I love get rejected only to watch something better emerge in its place. I know the reward of creating and witnessing ideas brought to life. I love my work. I love what I do. It happily defines me.

I believe that right here and now, we are living in an incredibly significant place and time. Every system upon which our global society functions is changing dramatically by the second, and this is ground zero for so many of those changes. I want my work to have as great an impact on this moment as possible.
